Great thread -

Dog - Gryffindor - Brussels Griffon breed and when we got him at 5 months my daughter was convinced that if there really was a Gyffindor as in the Harry Potter books, this puppy looked like one.  (Gryff for short)

Cat - Myst - Siamese cat - named after computer role playing game.

Cat - Tails - Blue Tipped Siamese cat named after video game pal of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Cat - Gemini Star - Another Siamese Cat - Daughter named him

Cat - Mallow - Last but not least Siamese cat named after video game character - friend of Mario - Mallow was a floaty cloud like creature and this cat is extremely light weight, white, and fluffy.

Gemini has gone to live with my daughter - she calls it the retirement home.  And Mallow has recently gone to live with my brother-in-law.  Mallow is much happier in a one cat household.
