Well, I'm back in the hospital. I have been passing blood for about a week. I didn't say anything last time i was in because i wanted to get out to go see my kids. Well I also was having some pain in the area of my transplant. So today i told my nurse at dialysis. She then talked to the Dr. Who can't come to the center on a dialy basis. He pre arraigned for admision. When i got here y surgeon checked me out and said that the kidney is swelling. So it need to come out. The problem is I'm on plavix since Oct of 07. So The surgeon wants me to stop the plavix for 5 days before the surgery. The heart Dr says No you can't So now we have game I guess between the two. As at this time I am sitting in here waiting. They are treating me with steroids to stop the swelling. I'm glad i have my laptop or I'd be going nuts. Take Care all. NEVER WEAKEN!!!!!          :boxing;            8)         :usaflag;

Scuse me while I kick something! This is just rotten! I'm so sorry you are going through this. But good for you for letting them know about the blood in your urine.  Let us know as much as you can how you are doing. I'll be thinking of you... hope your docs figure something out soon. I know you will never weaken. But darn it, I wish you didn't have to deal with this.

Good luck while you are imprisoned in the hospital walls. I hope your doctors figure out what to do with you soon. Isn't is funny how they argue with each other, yet you are the patient caught in the middle?   :bestwishes; :bestwishes;

My Mom has been into Plavix and there has been no problem with her surgeons on that, tho a day before the schedule, they would stop her in taking Plavix.
as you say, never weaken, you need to stay on top of it, in between your doctors, it is your life at stake, not theirs!!!
You are in my prayers, as it has always been like all of the IHD family.

I'm so sorry the kidney has to be removed. It's incredibly disappointing. Wish your birthday was bringing you something joyous instead.

Such sad news. You are in my prayers NVrWKN. My mom had to postpone her knee surgery due to Plavix. They absolutely did not want her off for at least 6 months prior to surgery. Initially, the vascular surgeon said he could put in a fistula or graft while she was on it. Then when we were waiting for the date of surgery, mom's neph called her to say they wanted to wait the 6 months. good luck to you  :cuddle;
