How about this: we dismantle their privy and roast their weenies in the fire we create with it?

My 10 yr old grand-daughter is staying a couple of days with me next week and she loves scones, so I think we are going to give Rose's recipe a try.    Tell Rita that you promise to clean up after you are done!

Kitkatz, sounds like a plan :2thumbsup;

Tell Rita you will clean up after AND you will let her eat one while it is warm.............she will agree to anything then.  Ken & Paris do let me know what you think of them, I hope you enjoy them as much as we do, you can use blueberries in place of raspberries.

Rita will let me use the kitchen as long as I remember to put the toilet seat down after I've used the bathroom. She drives a hard bargain!

Rose, where is the scone recipe?  I tried to find it with no luck...

Sluff, they make automatic things that put the seat down for those who are forgetful...

It's about 4 pages back, but here it is again - let me know if you try it

10oz plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 oz butter
2oz caster sugar
1 egg
Milk to mix
Fresh or frozen raspberries (frozen work best) about half a punnet (I think we decided a punnet was about 450 grams in a laetr post!), but however many you like really!
Put flour, baking powder, sugar and butter into a bowl and rub together until like breadcrumbs (don't use a mixer, you need to feel the texture).  Add the egg and then a little milk and work into a dough, add more milk if necessary until it is solid, not crumbly and not wet (trial and error comes in here and you get to eat all the ones that go wrong  )  Roll out to about an inch thick and cut into rounds (or just shape with your hands) and bake at 200 C for around 20 minutes (less if you have a fan oven).  Delicious on their own but also good with butter and/or cream.  OR If you are a real pig (like me) warm with a little home made vanilla ice cream...............hmmmmmmmmm

KEN - have you tried these yet or are you still practising putting the seat down  :rofl; Rita sounds like a good recruit for the Purple Boa Brigade  :2thumbsup;

I think 200 C is equal to approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ken - If you could get these young ladies to attend the next Kidney Walk in the UK, it sure would give some visibility to your team!
