I just wanted to let you all know.  He was worn out yesterday evening (normal for him) and we both went to sleep around 9pm.  I woke up at 3:15 and found him.  Right now I'm alternating between numb and hysterical which I guess is normal.  I can't believe this is really happening.

words are so empty at this time, but they are all we have to comfort you with.
i wish i had more for you. his suffering is over, yours has taken a harsher turn.
may you find some peace in the love of your kin and trust
that all is as it should be, regardless of the pain at this time.

in love and hope

Sara,

My thoughts are with you.  Even though we've never met, you've shared so much of your & Joe's life with us on these boards, I feel your loss.

I hope that the love and caring that is pouring out for you right now can help you get through the coming days.

Love to you and your family,

Anna
