Oh Sara, It hurts me deeply to see the loss of anyone way before what should rightly be their time. You have our deepest sympathy. If we can help, let us know.

Your neighbors to the south, Rolando and Alene

Sara, I am so sorry to hear about Joe's passing.  I'm so sad for your loss.  I know Joe is in a better place with no needles and blood pumps.  Please come here to vent and also to remember him.  You and Joe are a huge part of this site and I personally want to thank you for all your questions and answers that have helped so many people now and in the future.  Whoever reads this will know Joe.  He will not be forgotten.

God Bless~

Thank you everyone.  If you go here:  http://www.mem.com/Story.aspx?ID=1943009  you can read his obituary and click on Movie to the right and see a slideshow of his life.

Right now it hurts so bad.  I want to see his goofy smile so badly, to give him one more hug, to hear him make another joke.  A day feels like it stretches on endlessly and yet I can't believe it's been almost 3 days.

Thanks for sharing Sara.  That was a beautiful tribute to Joe.  As you say, everyone grieves differently and Joe's mother is understandably upset as well. We all know the risks with renal failure so I don't think an autopsy is going to help achieve anything.  But I can see her point as well.  He was so young and she feels a need for closure and with that she needs to know the exact reason he passed.  I'm sure you will make the right decision and we are all here to support you.  Lots of love, Cindy. xxxxxx

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Sara - I will pray for Joe and those he left behind - I know your strong faith in God will help you get through.  I have always admired your posts - you are quite a caring person and took really good care of your husband.  You can rest assured you did all that you could for him and now he is in a better place.  God Bless You!

The funeral was this morning.  It was very nice.  The old church was beautiful, the service was short and sweet, there was a great picture of Joe on the altar.  Joe's brother gave a very moving eulogy, that made me cry the most.  Now I have to wait for the cremation and then the ashes will be interred at the cemetery.  Still feels very unreal at times.  There was a pretty good turn out at the service, lots of people from Joe's work which was nice.  Tonight I go back home and while I want to get back to our pets, the thought of it still seems very strange, me being home without him there.  I guess tonight will be the hardest.  I still have lots to do.  I guess I'll have to go back to work at the end of this week, still some arrangements to be made.  I have to start the process of changing accounts and notifying creditors (fun) and mailing out the death certificates.  I have to look for a place to live, because our current place is in a bad neighborhood.  I don't feel comfortable staying there by myself long term and Joe wouldn't want me to anyway.  Just wanted to update.
