I was right about Wednesdays. The highest I saw today was $1.44 per litre. Ouch. Lucky I still have half a tank.

The price here (Pasadena, CA) is still close to what it was on Monday, but we'll see what happens as the 3-day Memorial Day weekend is approaching and typically many families take trips.
Regular gas is ranging from $3.33 to $3.59 per gallon, with premium about $.20 per gallon more, same with diesel.

Well it's Friday and our local prices have stayed the same all week. That's good because I was expecting them to jump a bit. I am still glad I am not going anywhere. The roads were very crowded on my way home from lunch.

Its nothing but excuses from the gas companies.

Wholesale gas prices are actually down by over 5% for the month so far yet retail price of gas is up.

Ok, I drove to Omaha today and it totally sucked.  Stupid drivers! ! ! (I'll explain the in a second)
I filled my tank in Lyons, 3.29 for unleaded plus. Drove about 2 hrs 30 mins, filled up again in Concordia, 3.19 for unleaded and unleaded plus.  Continued to York, saw the prices and said, " F**k No, I have enough gas to get to Omaha"!  The prices in York were 3.49 and higher...Hells NO! ! !  So that was my trip for today, just can't wait for sunday drive home. :sarcasm;

Oh wait....the stupid drivers remark.   So I'm in Concordia, filled up at Caseys then pulled up to the front to wait for my grams.  She gets in, we back out, giant white pickup backs out, I honk, rear of pick up on hood of my car. :banghead;  This lady saw and came running up to the truck screaming  :rant;  "you hit that car".  He said "no i didn't".  He realized he did hit me,  :oops; a nice dent by the passenger head light.  Anyways I got his info and will report it to my insurace company on Tuesday.  Bad weekend to be out!

Well I pay 0 dollars for gas. Why? I take the bus or cab now around town and rent a car for out of town  trips or go Greyhound. I'm finding it very easy to alter my lifestyle for less stress.

$22 per month for bus pass!

Worked out a deal with my driver that takes me to dialysis, i sign the slip for him to get paid even if i don't use him to take me home, then reserve that for when i need him on off days and this works out for me.

I live around the corner from a gas station and watch the prices change twice a day, what a rip off.

I usually get my gas at BJ's (warehouse club) which as of yesterday was 2.99 for the cheap stuff.  Everywhere else in town the cheap stuff is ranging from 3.11-3.39.  It's crazy.   :urcrazy;

I guess I'm pretty lucky.  I paid 2.77 over the weekend for gas.  That's only because the 2 gas stations near my house are in a gas war with each other.  I'm psyched for that, bring it on!  The sucky thing about this though is that on Tuesday he went from 2.73 to 2.97 to 2.91 all in the same day!  So, the guy with spike up the price and then slowly bring it down.

The norm around here is abou 2.95 - 3.20 a gallon.

Oh, this is in Mass. by the way.

Because everything is highly regulated in California, we have a higher price than most of the nation.  I live in Santa Rosa which is about 45 miles north of San Francisco.  Lately I've been paying $3.45 to fill up my little Stacy TruckMobile.  Over $50 for a fill up, but fortunately (is that the right word?) because I live 2 miles from work and 5 miles from Dialysis, it takes me some time to use a tank of gas.

i bought $20 worth yesterday at 3.19 for unleaded plus.

here is a small update on my accident last friday.

the guy that hit me called me today and said; he didn't want to go through his insurance.  also he had a witness that said i was the one moving and he wasn't and that he would give me $50 to end all this.  what a load of crap, if he has his so called witness, then why would he offer me money.  that guy is full of it and my car is going into the shop monday to find out the damages.  and i'm gonna let his insurance company know the cost of repairs.  i'm not letting him off that easy.
i'll update hopefully more next week.  ;)

Gas station next to me is back down to $2.85, most likely tomorrow he will go down another .2 cents.  This is so out of the norm for here.  Most gas stations are at 3.00.

Now you can see what gas prices are around the country at a glance. Areas are color coded according to their price for the average price for regular unleaded gasoline.  http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_gastemperaturemap.aspx

For Canada go to http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_can_gastemperaturemap.aspx

We saw $2.93 for regular, but 4th of July is coming! How is it that whatever drives up fuel prices always seems to be most prevalent around a holiday "weekend"?

I paid 2.63 on Tuesday  :yahoo; today it is 2.65.  This is totally out of the norm for us, but there are 2 gas stations near us who are doing the price war, so we reap the benefits!  Most other stations are around 2.85.
