I did a search of this chat system before posting this and found no reference yet it sound amazing.

I notice a complete lack of any reference to double blind peer reviewed studies published in recognized medical journals.    I wouldn't be surprised if the bottle has the standard FDA disclaimer about not being intended to cure to treat any disease or condition.   It's easy to get plenty of anecdotal evidence in the form of people who believe they have been helped (placebo effect), however, that is no substitute for actual evidence.

Smells like snake oil to me.

Yup, a supplement that is "amazing" but has stayed off the charts of the nephrologists for over a decade.

Any time I read these type of sites I find the lack of real information a clue as to their validity.

Those of us on dialysis need more protein than the general population, so supplementation may be necessary.
And there are many ways in which to do this such as whey protein concentrate and hydrolyzed collagen.

But this product looks to be a bit expensive and makes claims that sound to good to be true.
Just my opinion.

The OP needs to come up with a whole  lot more evidence before I would even THINK of using an unknown product.

Money back guarantee?  I doubt it.

Who is this member?  Been here long?  I have to wonder, we've had people register just to post Spam, which this, you got to admit, is very suspicious.  I could be wrong.  I am, a lot, So I'll reserve final judgement until I can learn more.

Sucralose is in it.  I can't have it. It would kill all intestinal flaura in me.  Many people that doesn't happen.  I'm the lucky one..  THREE MONTHS of sorta diarhea before the good colnies regenerated.  And that was taking probiotics TWICE daily.    NO fun.

Nuff said.

Sugar alcohols have that affect on some people. My husband is diabetic. I use to surprise him with sugar-free candy but he told me "no more if it has sugar alcohol in it". Poor guy...I had no idea what it did to him. I went thru the stash and ended up having to throw it all out.    As for intestinal flaura being killed off, try eating some Activia yogurt. Comes in many flavors.

As for DialysAid, I have no idea but Zach's Chunky Chili sure can make a person feel good!

Sucralose (aka Splenda) isn't a sugar alcohol. All sugars end in "ose" while  all sugar alcohols end with the suffix "ol" as in xylitol, erythritol, maltitol, etc.  Many of these alcohols have "unfortunate" intestinal effects (diarrhea).  I can tolerate erythritol, but only minute quantities of xylitol (which is a more effective sweetener). 

Sucralose is subject of continuing controversy about its safety.  I'm a Type 2 diabetic and I avoid sugar, but find a combination of erythritol and stevia to do the trick.

Dialysaid seems to be a variant of Wallser's amino acid products (also from Calwood) that are used to supplement a very low protein diet for pre-dialysis CKD patients.  They are all very high priced.

I became Diabetic about 6 months into Dialysis.  My first almost 2 years I was quite insulin resistant having to take almost twice the 'normal' dosage.  After losing about 100 pounds on PD, the constant 2 liter 'fill' putting enough pressure on the stomach that I do not feel the need to eat very much before felling 'full', my insulin resistance is GONE, and almost sensitive.  I haven't taken but a couple shots of fast acting in the last two months, my regular nightly shot of slow is doing quite well.

I am still adicted to sugar.  I have been doing well at keeping it in moderation with only occasional indulgences.

I do have a big bag of Stevia and those times I use sugar in say a hot cup of tea, I halve the sugar and use the Stevia for the other half.  It does NOT leave me with that nasty chemical aftertaste.

You're right about Splenda -that's the only one my husband can handle with no unwanted side effects. There are a few hard candies made with Splenda but harder to find.

This product isn't even on the companies main website. Seems like a scam because I found 0 information about this product. Any info I found was from the website itself. Also, the website isn't typed up by professionals it looks like.
