Going through life tied to a chair!

« on: January 13, 2011, 09:13:41 AM »

New Game!  Name ONE (only one) side affect that "MAY" result from the drugs we take!

The commercials are 30 seconds and 25 list all the side effects that may occur.

Affect means to influence and Effect means result so I'm not sure which to use.....  So drugs may affect your hearing.

So this is mine.....  May cause sudden loss in hearing!

This is Viagra.... which cracks me up!   :rofl;

My favorite line in all these commercials is

"If a sudden loss in vision or hearing occurs, stop taking this drug and call your doctor immediately."

You know, I think that if I have a sudden loss of hearing or vision...I'm calling my doctor immediately even if I'm taking no prescriptions whatsoever!

*LOL*

Stephen Colbert has a segment on his show, called Cheating Death, where he talks about different advances in health science.  He then plugs a product from a fake pharmaceutical company, who he says is the sponsor, that offers something that does the same thing.  He then lists all the side effects of the product.  Some of them are completely ridiculous.

this is one of my favorites...
Vaxachub – The only virility aid made entirely from powdered mice. If you experience erections lasting more than 4 hours, you are welcome.

Side Effects may include:

    * Mild kidney explosions
    * Testicular cranberrying
    * Rectal hallucinations
    * Note: There are also ongoing, and as of yet, undenied rumors that Vaxachub causes sterility
