I went for my walk, but halfway up the hill to the mailbox, my mom was coming down the hill in the car.  She had gone to the mailbox already, so I changed my route and went around the block.  Also, by the time I got to the top of the hill, it was snowing.  I was wearing sandals.  Although the distance was the same, I did it in 21 minutes.  Mom thinks I did it faster cuz it was snowing.

I sprayed burr in the sheep yards as we have had so much rain everything is growing madly.
Wow, snowing at your place, Riki. Brrr, must be cold. It NEVER snows where I live but it does get very hot in summer.

Snowing?! Sandals?! How quickly does the weather change in your neck of the woods?! Well done on doing it quicker; that's so fab.

Me? I wore myself out whilst browsing the world wide web looking for ideas for Christmas hampers as presents, so then I had to sleep for two hours.  This meant I missed my Weight Watchers meeting.  Me bad.

It depends on the year.  If we have a late summer, we usually have a late fall and a dry winter.  I like those years.  It was warm through to the middle of October..  When I went out yesterday, the ground was wet, but it wasn't really that cold, well, for some it might have been. It was about 5-6C.  It cool off quick, though, and in the 10 minutes it took me to get to the top of the hill, it was cold enough to snow, instead of rain.  I'm still wearing my sandals because I blew out my shoes when I was in NYC in May, and they hurt my feet.  I never bothered getting new shoes, because they weren't needed. I guess they're needed now.

Today I didn't do much except go to dialysis, but I was able to get the nurses to drop my dry weight by .5kg, so it wasn't an unproductive day

Lots of weeding in my garden - but still looks like double the amount left to do. And I have to cart the weeds away yet.

Went to Walmart to get my meds, stop by the feed store, did a little grocery shopping and I still wasn't done. Had to bring the grocery unload the feed then moved 3 bales pf hay to the back lot and put them away. I am now relaxed.

I accomplished helping as many people as I could, as much as I could.  I spent 8 hours volunteering at the legal aid center in the courthouse.  Among others, I helped a woman who was filing an emergency order to prevent her ex from seeing their daughter.  The woman had just found out he was sexually abusing the little girl.

I took my walk today.  I thought I was walking fast, but the walk took me 25 minutes.  I think I slowed down when I saw that the kids were off the bus.  I'm incredibly antisocial...

I approved 6 new IHD members, posted a little, met a friend for coffee, checked my daughter's air travel info, made an appointment to renew my driver's license, watered plants (it's another hot day here) and checked on the tortoises. Now I have to get busy working on my list of stuff. It never ends.  :)

I did an 8.5 hour shift today and finished the week with 39 hours straight time and 30 minutes of over time, with an overtime shift tomorrow. This will be the first week with over 40 hours since early 2007 (up until two weeks ago it would have been the first week with more than 30 hours; in the last three weeks I doubled my hours for the year).

If this keeps up (it will if I can) I should regain my union insurance early next year. Work + Insurance = Travel.

Did the laundry, all the ironing and mending I had stacked up, cooked and froze meals ahead for the next two weeks, grocery shopped, dropped off the dry cleaning, walked a mile on the treadmill, and did some homework.

Unfortunately, it was one of those days where I did a thousand little things and it still doesn't look like I accomplished a thing at the end of the day....mostly because the house is still dusty and the carpet is still decorated with too much cat hair.   :P

I vacuumed my car inside and washed the outside and then came home and vacuumed the whole house!!! Went to empty the bucket and it wasn't full at all, which means, once again, the vacuum cleaner is not working properly. Arrrgh!!!!

I stayed at home and cleaned the floors this morning.  I've been in hospitals all day every day for so long, the dust balls were almost as big as the cats, I could only tell the difference because the cats have eyes.    And I did a load of washing.  Then I went and broke Gregory out of hospital for the afternoon, took him to the park to sit in the car and look at the river (near where we were married).  Then we went to his dad's house, took his dad to the other hospital where my MIL is.  Gregory stayed in the car and listened to the radio (worried about germs).  Sat and chatted to marge for a brief while, she is in a general ward out of high dependancy.  Then took FIL home, got a hamburger for husband from one of those real hamburger places... he ate some of it  :yahoo; (he is too thin, like, waaaaaay too thin) then took him back to his room in the renal ward where we watched television till 9.  Came home.  Did another load of washing.

Took mom to the flea market today. I was looking for a 8' usb cable and just to look around. I bumped into one of the techs from D and we were talking while she was purchasing a mechanical reindeer that a vendor was selling. She went to take her purchase to her car while I went on my way looking around. Mom picked up 2 lovebirds  at another vendor. We left there and stopped at the feed store once again to pick up feed that they had run out of when I went there earlier in the week.Got back home and worked on my laptop and find why it doesn't detect my wireless.

Felt pretty weak but was able to:  put away groceries delivered by Ocado, clean up my area for meds which needed it badly, made supper.
Watch football (soccer) program as our team Leyton Orient struggled to a draw with neighbors Dagenham and Redbridge. Spent most of the rest of day watch US college football on my computer. Like many times I feel better the longer the day goes on.

I was home by myself today.  I wanted to make cookies, but Mom said we didn't have any butter.  So, instead I pulled out my poor, neglected Tassimo coffee maker and cleaned it.  It's been sitting for at least 8 months, and wasn't cleaned properly the last time it was used, so it needed some love..*G*  It gave me a great feeling of accomplishment when I turned it on, and the "fill tank" and "descale" lights didn't come on.  I ran a full tank of water through it to make sure it was good and clean.  The "fill take" light came on again, but the tank was still half full, so I disconnected the tank and put it back on, and didn't have any problems again until the tank was actually empty.  When it was done, I half filled the tank, and made myself a cappuccino.  Then I ran the last of the water in the tank through to make sure it was clean before I put it away again.  Even though it was a little too strong, that cappuccino tasted like victory!
