Oooh, that's gotta hurt.  What do you make of this Nick Foles guy?  What do you think of him being named starting QB for the rest of the season?

 I think Foles will be OK. He's young and needs time to mature but he's more of a traditional quarterback. That's something we haven't had in Philly for quite a while. Vick will be another teams problem next year I believe. :bandance;

Well, the "good" Giants team showed up this week.  Special teams looked fantastic.  Of course the cowboys and skins both pulled a win out of their  :sir ken;

It is going to be a race to the end.  Unfortunately the Giants division record is not good and could come back to haunt us.  :stressed;

Are you ready for some playoff football????????????????????

Good news is that neither the Cowgirls nor the Saints got into the postseason.

Bad news, for YLGuy at least, is that the Giants didn't, either.

So, anyone want to share their picks?

I'm picking Bengals (to win, but at least taking the points), Packers, Colts (I don't trust Flacco, and Andrew Luck went to my high school.  I remember watching his dad play for the Oilers.  Does that date me or what?) and Seahawks.

It's going to be great fun watching THREE rooking QBs in the playoffs!

 :clap;  Any love for my Seahawks?  Tomorrow's game against RG3 should be a good match up.  Seattle is loaded with talent on defense and will make it a long day for the Redskins.  This city is going to go nuts when we win!

As for my Giants not making it...they really did not deserve it.  Finished the season 9-7.  We never knew what team was going to show up.  They either played great or horrible.

RGIII is incredible.  My worry is that he is going to get really injured.  He is already wearing a knee brace.  If he keeps up running like he does he is going to get hurt bad.  With that being said the Redskins have not been a factor for so long that it does not bother me that they are representing the NFC East.

Romo of course did not let me down.  :rofl;  He choked just like I knew he would.  Just as he always does.

MM picks? Well, 2 of the games already went off so we know the Packers and Texans are winners.  Just to go against you, lol I will pick the Ravens and the Skins.  The Skins can do it.  A huge factor isn't that is being played at Washington.  The big factor is that it is NOT being played in Seattle.  Takes that 12th man off the field.

Hey Worthy1, I'm in Seattle! Well, not IN Seattle, but not too far north of it! I will be watching the game on Sunday (later today as I write this). I need to dig out my 12th Man flag. Yes, it is sad that we can't have these games in our nice, fancy, LOUD-A$$ stadium, but hopefully, our team will prevail! Woo Hoo!!!!

Yes, I have concerns about RGIII, too, and if he aggravates an injury, that'd be a shame.  I much prefer to watch playoff games where the teams have not been decimated by injury, but that's the nature of the NFL, I suppose.  If he is too injured to be effective, I think Seattle's defense may well have a good day.

Tony "Oh, NO!" Romo struck again.  What a shame. :rofl;

The Texans' offense performed just like I thought they would, ie, pretty lame, but the defense/JJ Watt smacked down whatever momentum Cincinnati had coming in.  I really thought that the Bengals would at least cover, but they looked awful. (In Houston, they call Watt "The Milkman" because he's white and always delivers.  LOL!)

I don't think the Vikings would have beaten the Pack even with Ponder, but Joe Webb looked woeful.  Then again, I believe he'd only thrown three passes all year, and it is very difficult to win a playoff game at Lambeau under those circumstances.

With this being Ray Lewis' last game, that might be the emotional kick in the butt the Ravens need to be victorious.  However, the Colts have their own emotional chess piece in Pagano.

Can't wait!!

Unfortunately I was right about RGIII.  Very sad.  I do not like the Seahawks' coach at all.  I believe he is a cheat and a liar.  He knew exactly what was going on at USC and then left just before the sanctions came down.

I admit I don't know much about football and all you said went down.

But, we won!   We beat the Redskins!    :cheer:

 :beer1;  Seahawks appear to be headed in the right direction.  This team is a lot of fun to watch.  Falcon's played an easy schedule and are not battle tested.  Go Hawks (two more wins and we're in the Super Bowl)

I wonder what okarol thinks about the Rose Bowl being used as an NFL stadium while one is being built in LA? Apparently the residents of Pasadena are fighting it. It really does look like Los Angeles will get an NFL team.  They actually want 2 teams to share a new stadium.

IDK, YL. They had 2 teams for a while if you remember. The Rams & the (T)Raiders! Both left. Kind of makes you wonder why.

Cebushan: IDK either.  My best guess would be the fact that many people here in southern California did not grow up here.  I am a New York Giants fan as I am sure you could tell.  There are many football fans here that already hold alliances to other teams.  There is still a huge Raiders fan base here.  I do not want the Raiders though.

OMG...did anyone else watch today's games?  I cannot believe that the Ravens won in overtime.  Did the 49er's really get that many yards against the packer's D??? wow

Ha!  I logged on just to come to this thread.

Goodness Gracious Me!!!  Yes, I saw both games, and Payton Manning must be sick as a parrot!  That's the number 1 seed done and dusted!  What a tremendous game.  How many times did Champ Bailey get burned?  And who would have thought that it would have been a terrible Peyton Manning INT that finally broke the bronco's back?  WOW!

That Colin Kaepernick kid was amazing.  What's going to happen to Alex Smith?  Packers' D sucked.

The city votes on stuff even though the residents object. With concerts, soccer, flea market, special events and college football, it's already a major traffic problem. Plus people will park in front of homes, drunk, and pee in your bushes. It's fun! LOL

MM - I watched the Broncos game - one son is a fan (the other one likes the Redskins.) It was so close, crazy game!
