I am traveling with Jenna to Paris on Sunday. I come back in 2 weeks and she will stay in France until December, and travel around a bit while she is there. Thanks to her living kidney donor Patrice she is healthy and can have this great adventure!

Enjoy yourself, Karol.... Go to see the Notre Dame Cathederal... It's lovely to spend an hour or so there... So peaceful, and the most beautiful stained glass windows....

We'll be good(ish!)...

Bon Voyage...

Jenna  :yahoo;

I hope she has so much fun that you, okarol, are left shuddering and clutching your heart just as any mother of a young adult should be doing.

Okarol, you are amazing! You too, have such a good time that you need another two weeks off at home to recover. I'll be looking for the both of you on the international news (you know, "Mother and Daughter Duo Arrested for Scaling the Eiffel Tower... On the Outside!")

(and a special  :clap; for Patrice)

Have a GREAT time.  I have friends at the embassy & British Air if you cause too much trouble in London and need a quick exit!

Have some Bacon & Cheese Bread from the Harrod's Food Halls for me, or a Mocha from Pret a Manger!!!

United called with a recorded message. The LAX to DULLES flight had been canceled and they left a number to call back for a new flight. I got disconnected 3 times and had to beg a woman in India not to hang up, because every time they tried to transfer the call to international it would go on hold, then disconnect. First they had booked us 2 different days. They now have re-booked both our flights for 24 hours later. The offered a flight for 6AM Sunday, coach instead of business, but we would have had to leave here at 3 AM and I just could not do it. So we now leave Monday morning and arrive in Paris Tuesday morning, allegedly. Same flight numbers.

Oh, I sure hope they dont lose your luggage, the dolts!!!

You know Karol, this is something worth thinking about... If you can, put some of your clothes, underwear, footwear, etc into your daughter's luggage, and get her to do the same into yours... That way, if one item of luggage goes AWOL for a few days, you'll have something to wear while waiting to be reunited with it... One airline sent my WHEELCHAIR to Heathrow, while I was travelling to Brussles!...  :banghead;. No fun!...

And don't worry about a thing while you're away... If the rest of this lot behave as nicely as I do, all will be fine!!!...  :rofl;

Always pack a few snacks.  I travel with a small thing of peanut butter and some crackers--just in case.   And we do what Darth adviced, back a set of clothes in each others luggage.  Then you know you have something!   I also bring comfy things to change into after take off.  Nice lose, warm top and even sleep pants!   It is a long flight and you might as well be comfortable.  Don't pack you medications.  The blankets are terrible on the plane.  A nice small fleece blanket will make the trip better.   I go for comfort!!

I am so excited for both of you!!!!!
