You know we are family when we are all sitting around talking about your ability to pass gas!   Hope tomorrow finds you home and recovering.   :grouphug;

Still nothing - they dialyzed me for 3 hours today. I self cannulated with buttonhole needles was a bit worried that the button holes would have healed over since Sunday morning when I last had needles in but it was fine.

I don't know how much detail to go into but I feel bloated and have tried everything. Coffee, lots and lots of walking and what may be my first suppository. Or I've had one before and managed to forget the experience, not sure but still nothing.

They have a video library here; tonight I'm watching "The Gods must be crazy" last night I watched "Raising Arizona" which was in a care package from RSN.

I mostly have been spending my time reading the internets and watching the traffic back up on I-90 - at least I'm not stuck in traffic.

Oh yeah castor oil  :puke;

How about milk of magnesia - can renal patients take that?

Milk of magnesia should be avoided due to the magnesium in renal patients.  Good old father time is about the only thing that works.  With a laparoscopic surgery, it shouldn't be much longer.

Get well soon.

Peter

P.S.  How would you like to have a job where you go around asking people if they are passing gas.  Quite a strange profession to be a doctor at times, but quite rewarding at the same time.

There's enough gurgling going on that the surgeon signed off on the normal menu - I have a cheese burger and brown rice on the way.

I'm really hoping to be home tomorrow.

I'm glad to leave the medical issues behind but I want to hold on to all the support I have felt. I need to reflect ... it feels like I am at a proverbial fork in the road ... there's time for that. Now I'm going to work on getting my strength back and setting goals.

First goal: I want to be swimming in Lake Washington by the end of the month.
