As you may know, one of our IHD family members, Bill Peckham, is the creator of http://www.billpeckham.com aka "Dialysis from the Sharp End of the Needle" which has done an incredible job of tracking industry news and trends - and in blogging about advocacy, reimbursement, politics and the provision of dialysis. If you've noticed, there has been very little going on at DSEN lately. So here's an update from Bill, you can read it here:
http://www.billpeckham.com/from_the_sharp_end_of_the/2009/06/sunday-me-blog-whats-the-story.html
Please join us in wishing Bill the very best as he faces this challenge.

Lots of love to you Bill.  :grouphug;  :grouphug;

Thanks for the good thoughts - I like reporting boat trips and foreign travel a lot more than medical issues.

Again no call back today but it's just 4:30 here so maybe it'll still come. I had the thought today that this would be even worse if it was before cell phones - if I had to stay home by the phone I'd have gone crazy ... at least I know I can be reached - my cell phone is working.

My neph did relay that the surgeon wants a cardiology consult - not sure if that was before surgery or before scheduling surgery. That's Friday, the gallbladder surgeon is scheduled for a week from Wednesday. So if nothing else I should know something by then.

I'm tired of feeling tired. And I feel under dialyzed because lately I've been doing evening 3 hour dialysis. I think later this week - maybe Wednesday - I'll go back to nocturnal, 2 days on/one day off schedule

I wasn't going to post in this thread.  It was all a bit too close to home.

Who is this Bill Peckham you are trying to marry me off to?  All I see is a dog and an alligator.

Thanks for the sentiments. (and he won't have me.  He thinks I am a closet Republican)

Anyway, I just think this cancer thing is a ploy to get more hits on his website.  www.billpeckham.com

I wish I  had known who Bill was before now, but this thread did get me to looked at his website.  Thanks Bill.  Lots of interestiing stuff there.  And best wishes Bill.

And Okarol, I suppose if I were a Republican I'd want to remain in the closet too.
