Sorry to hear Cycobully.
I remember the video you shared awhile back of both your dogs playing around. She was a beautiful dog.

Sorry about your fur-baby, cycobully.

My kitty never likes to sleep under the covers, not on a normal night.  I woke up at 6 this morning and was quite sick throwing up.  By the time I staggered back to bed, I was shivering from sweating in the cold house.  Pumpkin came over to me as soon as I crawled under the covers.  She burrowed in next to me and stayed until I warmed up.  Gotta love our babies!

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby.  Losing a pet is the worst.  I had to have my cat put to sleep.  at 18 years old, I had had him for 15  It was shortly before I started with the dialysis, and i swore that cat was with me in the hospital.  Of course, according to my family, I was swearing to a lot of things at that time  I was a little nuts from all the meds.

Another example of how perceptive pets can be and they know when they are needed to give their own brand of TLC.. and the best part is that it DOES help!!! Even the fact that they are there showing their love and support lowers BP and stress levels (as well as warming you up). That is so beautiful.

I have two cats and two dogs.

I have a Hemalayin cat which used to be my daughter, Sarah's. Her boyfriend bought for her because had a bad stay at the hospital and he knew she wanted a Himalayan. That's all she talked about for a period of time. So this cat has special meaning to to me. She named her Squishy. My other cat Lila, is from my other daughter, Savannah. It's crossed matched with a Lynx, has a short tail . Pretty neat cat. Savannah gave me the cat because it always would hide at her place, wouldn't let no one pet her etc. When I would come to her house Lila would come out and want attention from me.

My dog Spike, which is part Blue Heeler, I have had since she was born about fifteen years ago. She has always been a loyal dog. She is going blind but I won't put her to sleep just because of that. She doesn't seem to be in no  pain and she wagges her tail when she knows I'm near.

Foxy which is a Red Spitz, I adopted a few months ago from the vet's office here in town. She was abandoned for about three months at a home. She was nervous at first, but now she comes running to the door to greet me when I come home from work, licks me..which I have been told that means she accepts me now.

There has always been cats and dogs in my home. They just complete the pictures to make it home sweet home.

Well, although it's only been a month, Dorothy is dreadfully lonely, not to mention the fact that the house is just not quite right with only one dog, and it is all round breaking my heart.

We may be getting a new dog - a 3 y.o. female brindle bull terrier. We are picking her up tomorrow night. Because the breeder is a friend of mine, we can take her back if it does not work out.

I think Dorothy will be really happy.

Thanks Chris.

It has worked out well. I called the new bully Demelza. She was quite the dark horse, she came in here all shy and quiet and I thought she was a true angel. After a few weeks, she suddenly burst into activity! She's been chasing Dorothy about (a real turn of events!) and this morning she just chewed the cooling mat in the kennel (value - $250).

Dorothy is much happier now she has another dog to play with.
