My daughter, Melissa, just called me to vent for a moment. Then she said, "Mom we all think you walk on water and would do anything for you because you do everything for us"   Nice when you kids grow up and become your friends.  She had me in tears.  Unsolicited compliment -- a great daily positive   :2thumbsup;

8 steps today -and yes, Des, I climbed both up and down them!  I got to walk without a walker or a cane today, too.

This has been a rough month for us, so it's going to be a challenge to find some positives.

My husband had a free training today on a computer program that is normally many thousands of dollar to learn. He said it was excellent.

Once the kids are in bed, I plan to have a glass of wine with my husband and watch a week's worth of The Cobert Report over the Internet.

Retail therapy made me happy today!  I got a gift card to Barnes and Noble for my birthday, so sis and brother-in-law took me to the new one that just opened at the mall.  Ahhhh, a two-story bookstore with everything I could possibly want to read!  I was good - only 4 books, and 14 dollars more than the gift card.  Then we wandered around the mall for a bit.  I found an exercise balll at a discount store for less than $10, so I can work on my core strength while vegging in front of the tv.

It's my 18th wedding anniversary today (today being 16 Nov here).  We got married on 16.11.91 which can be turned upside down and still says 16.11.91.  Only works here cos we don't follow the American way of putting the month first.  So for us 9/11 is actually 11/9!

To-day I horrified the good folk at the pharmacy, when I whipped up my shirt and displayed my catheter.

My positive today is that I am getting my fistula finally  :yahoo;

And that means, god willing, I will get rid of this PermaCath at some point!

Going into surgery in 45 minutes...

Maker, all the best. My thoughts are with you. All the grim details, when you're ready, please.

My daily positive - I shall have my second battle with the 'experts' over fluid withdrawal to-day, and I shall win and annoy some people in the process. A double plus!!

My positive today?  I had dinner with two granddaughters, celebrating award day at their school.  They both received several. Emma was sad that many of the kids in her class didn't get awards. (these are for grades, attitude, effort, etc)  She is going to help her friends so they can get one next time.    :thumbup;    Sweet girls; Eliza and Emma

My husband finally found a fabulous, easy recipe/technique to make sandwich bread at home. He has been on a bread making kick for a few weeks. We are forever running out of bread for lunches, racing out to the market, spending $4 for a mediocre loaf of organic bread. Gwyn decided enough was enough and bought a 50 lb bag of bread flour at Costco.
