Thank the Lord I only have 5 kids this year driving me crazy and they are all starting to listen better.  Fifth period has become my best class and they were the worst for a good part of the year! They are turning into good little writers.

Tonight is a girls' night with my 13-year old daughter.  There will be Taylor Swift music aplenty.  No, we're not going to a concert - just a travelling museum - they call it the Taylor Swift Fearless Experience.  She's really looking forward to it, I'm looking forward to the time with her.

Paris, I hope that wasn't your daycare center that got raided by the nc Police today.  All that moonshine and firearms.... wow.

Moonshine!!  Did someone say moonshine????? Did you mean the stuff you drink!! I could use some right now  :rofl; :rofl;  15 more days until vacation!! I have lots of homemade wine and 2 more brews of it sitting in the dining room.  each brew makes about 30 bottles.  Come to my house for a party!! It was a beautiful day here and that's something to be thankful for.

Planted 5 new hostas today, 3 new clumps of pachysandra and am getting ready to go pick up two new viburnums (summer snowflake) tomorrow.    Life is so good when I'm planting.  The new house behind us is going to put in a row of columnar beeches in and I'm hoping that today I talked the landscaper out of using red ones and using green instead.  Too many yellow or red or purple trees in a landscape is a pet peeve of mine  (I like them but only if used very sparingly as an accent specimen) so that would be a huge positive if I can influence the choice.

That's good, dw.  Having a regular time will make it easier to get into a scheduled groove.

Today's positive - took a batch of toy white mice into D to sew while I was sitting there.  Sold 3 to the nurses.  Making money while on dialysis is lovely!

Ahh. Jbeany, you must have an upper arm fistula. It's ahred for my husband to use his arm at all because his fistula is in his lower arm.

My positive, having the whole crew (NxStage and nurses) coming to my house has certainly improved the looks of the place. Still some tidying to do, though.

It's upper left arm for me, so I can hold stuff with my left hand and sew with my right.  I have to set every thing down and shake out my fingers pretty frequently, though.  I'm holding everything at an odd angle to keep from moving my upper left arm, and my fingers go to sleep a lot.  Still, I like being able to do something productive.

I had a wonderful evening with my daughter last night.  It was such a small thing that made her so happy!  I really enjoyed chatting with her for hours.  It does the heart good.

I just read that the ingredients for a box of cereal cost about 4 cents. The cereal companies make more $$ from cereal than any other products because they have convinced us consumers to pay so much for it.

 :thumbdown;

My continuing positive is that my house looks fairly decent (at least the public parts of it!).

Although he is still not at all well, very sleepy and not eating too well, today is the first day for 2 months or more that my Dad has not been in pain, perhaps the sympathectomy and the painkillers are doing the trick, long may it continue and thanks to everyone who has asked about him.  :grouphug;

For some reason my ihd page switched onto Spanish, and I've been trying to read all the instructions in Spanish for the last few days. ( I don't speak Spanish by the way). As a result of this I discovered you can click on 'new' and it'll take you straight to the latest unread thread.  Now, I realise you all probably knew this already, but I just hadn't noticed the little blue 'new' sign.  It wasn't till I read 'nuevo' in Spanish that I realised what it was for ha ha.  So much easier than scrolling down every time you open a thread....I am computer literate...I am computer literate...I am...
