Went to the dentist yesterday, for a root canal, and it didn't hurt.  Hey, I'm surprised too.

Getting the heck out of town.

Are you sure you weren't still in dialysis and just hallucinating about going to the dentist?

Oh, I need a positive to stay on  topic.  Let me think!  OK,  I won an argument with my nurse yesterday.  I wanted more fluid removed and she said I couldn't handle it.  Finally she gave in and did what I wanted.  Oh yea, I had the worse cramps yet.  But I won an argument.

My fasting blood sugar this morning was 72.  Go pancreas, go!  I love only having to check it once a day, too!

At least a positive.  I have friend like Jbeany who is getting better.  Encouragment for all actually.  Congrats JB, what's for breakfast?

Oatmeal and a glass of milk for breakfast, with a couple of almonds to top the maple flavored oats.  Yummy!  I love that now all I have to think about is "Is this a healthy meal?", not "How much phos, how much potassium, how many carbs, how many binders, how much sodium, how much fluid, how much insulin do I need, what am I having later that should be avoided with this meal so I don't overload on something". . . and on and on and on. . .

Seeing my GP today was positive. I really like him on a personal level, and he is literally the only person I speak to consistently where I can use terms like 'PRA' and not hear that dreaded "Wait.... what?" I unload all of my anxieties at these appointments and then leave feeling much better. :)

Congratulations, jbeany. I never get tired of hearing about your progress.  :yahoo;

No school tomorrow. Yeah! Just enough snow to make things messy, but early enough for me to make that decision. Since it is going to be in the teens tonight it is all going to be a big freeze in the morning and I am just going to sleep late!  :2thumbsup;

A fire is going in the stove and we don't have to get out. When Carl checked on the paper he found rabbit nd fox tracks in the snow in our driveway. (No paper, though!)

Long weekend.  :bandance; :bandance; And we can do dialysis any time we want today. Carl will not have to eat dinner on the machine!  :clap;

Since I retired that was one of my favorite things.  (listening to people go to work).  So glad to find out someone else has found that pleasure.  The worse thing was not getting hollidays and vacation days though.

My positive.  My PIPES didn't freeze... I don't think.  Am head to dialysis just hope the blood didn't freeze.  24 F in Houston.  What's that all a bout?  Chill factor 14.  What can I wear?

Just went to open the garage door as my remotes won't work in the cold (explainations any of you wise technie) and thought of my daily positive:
Is is much more fun in the spring to find new plants and get them started than it is go prune and  care for the old ones!  Thanks mother nature... or global warming or what ever is happening.

FC,  Raleigh got nothing also!  I wanted to see at least a few flakes -- but nothing.  Just a short period of light rain.  The positive is we didn't get any ice!   :2thumbsup;

You are right, about tht being a positive Paris.  Ice is awful.  For one thing I can't walk on it and I am so tired of it.  In Southern Illinois we got ice all the time.   :stressed;

I got "D'd" at the satelite center for the first time, and what did I find on their notice board? Yep. A big IHD poster! Excellent (as Monty Burns would say).

Today positives were a bit thin on the ground, but I did manage to stay up through the day so I am optimistic that I will fall asleep easily tonight and actually stay asleep. Tomorrow will be better.  :2thumbsup;

Today was the first day since last Sunday that I have not been shaking with the cold, and feeling tired and nauseous. Wow, and even a little bit of energy. I am happy.

First Positive of the Day (not counting last night's nightowls (Jean) who may have been too plastered after the Elvis party to know Friday from Saturday:  It is Sarturday morning, nor broken pipes, warm inside and lovely sun outside and I have no (Zero) plans.  I'm not even going to  think about property taxes being due this  month or even the car insurance.  Blanche Dubois said.... (oh she was a little flakey wasn't she).

The local library has started the winter Java and Jazz nights again.  Last night's coffee and music were great, as always.  The conversations with friends were fabulous.  The jokes from the lead musician have not improved, though!
Case in point - What did one snowman say to the other?

Do you smell carrots?

Sorry I left the party before you got there, Dan and Jean!

My positive for today is that I slept in until nearly 10:00 AM. that is a first! It felt great, too. I really, really must have needed the sleep.

And it feels like Sunday because we had yesterday off. Woot. A three day weekend (and another one next weekend!)

Jbeany, that sounds like fun! Carrots and all.  :2thumbsup;
