I was never on a stamp, but the manse (minister's house) where I lived was, and a cousin of mine was also on a stamp.
Let me tell you about her.  She is blind (the stamp was when she was at the school for the blind), but she graduated from school, graduated from university and is now a Senator in our government.
I will try to find the two stamps.

Found the stamps.
Sharon Moravian Church is a very historic church, first built 1799, then rebuilt 1831.  It was the first to welcome slaves as members. My dad was always very proud of being a minister at that church.
If you look to the left, our home is there. This is where Lilbajanne (Sam) spent the first year of her life!
The second is not too clear, but it is my cousin Kerryann at a braille machine.  It was the 1981 Year of the Disabled stamp series.
Here is a more recent article about her - http://media-dis-n-dat.blogspot.com/2008/03/visually-impaired-woman-becomes-senator.html

These are my favorite kinds of threads.  It is great when you connect with different  people  from their posts, the chat room, etc. and you can read some of this personal information that gives you addition  insight.

Can you just see Jennyc as a ferret now?  Cute!

and what about looney speaking spanish with her hillbilly accent?  I love .

And Jean hanging out at Divorce Court?  Make up your mind woman.   Njursewratch: I'd never suspect but have you met Jean at the attorney's office and did both of you get lots of alimony?

Kit likes science fiction.  Duh!  Ever read her Trivia questions?  And Gail is smart.  Duh!

I love this stuff.

My Blokey is asleep on the settee so what better thing to do in a fit of boredom on a Saturday afternoon than this?

1. I suffer from terrible déjà vécu.
2. I'm the most sarcastic person I know.
3. I like antique fairs (I collect perfume bottles).
4. My memory is so bad that I can forget what I'm saying whilst I'm saying it.
5. My brain doesn't 'do' Maths and Science ... (but I 'teach' both)
6. I'm an idealist and see the good/best in everyone/thing.
7. Can't drive, won't drive.
8. I love live comedy (and shaking hands with famous comedians who are often much littler than they appear on the tellybox.)
9. I can die happy because I saw The Killers live and they were the only thing on 'My List'.
10. Just because I'm nodding don't assume I'm actually listening ... I've always been a daydreamer and can switch (you) off easily.
