:shy;  My class enjoyed the lemon candy.... so did their teacher!

Thank you notes are being written and hopefully sent out by the end of April. It takes a long time for 2nd graders to do anything.  (And of course, their teacher too.. she is ADD along with half the class...)     =)

Here are some picts of Flat Stanley in the British Virgin Islands.  He admired the view from my first apartment, then got to know the other view.
Disney Cruise had an inaugural visit, so I took his picture at our cruiseship dock.  There were stilt dancers and he got to dance with them.
He went to my grandson's primary school and got pictures taken there.  some of the kids wrote a letter to Katy who had sent the Flat Stanley.

Getting the heck out of town.

There was a flat stanley on the mall at the Today show on Friday.  Now I know what flat stanley is... I'm slow.

Do recall a few years back, some activity with  Flat Stanley. Did take it to the center and got a few pictures.
Events got out of hand, and never was able to follow through with it.   :Kit n Stik;

Is this still an active project with the schoolers ?

Thing's one find's with idle moments:

This is a wonderful thread.  I never knew Flat Stanley until seeing him here.

I hope this project is repeated in many schools as it is very neat for the kids to see the things far and wide outside their classroom.

Hey Charlie B53
Check the additional link I found routing around in old topics.
Had to do with Flat Stanley picture sizing.
Did add the link to my prior post.

Great!  Thanks!

I've been wanting to learn how to resize images for a while for posting not only here but on other forums I belong to.  And drawing a blank.

I know what I am going to be learning to night.

If anyone is interested, and on facebook, there is a Flat Stanley type program on the go for dialysis patients.. there's a group on facebook called The Misadventures of Flip the Dialysis Bird... it's the same idea, we kind of just pass him around from dialysis patient to dialysis patient.. take him on little adventures, take pictures, and post back to the group... he comes with his own passport, and everyone who has him fills out a page with a recap of his time, your name, and town where you live (I put Riki and Joan *mylastname* on mine when I sent it off).. it's actually kind of a neat idea...

This is a picture of me, Flip, and the Prime Minister, though you can only see the top of poor Flip's head in the shot.. Mr. Trudeau was actually holding Flip...
