Karol, Rocky is adorable!  I love how he is walking on the tips of his toes!

How big will he get?

is he glad to see you and does he come up to you - yes he knows my voice
how affectionate is he - he likes being held
I had a turtle once and when he died I was devastated - awww sorry
I was about 7
how do you keep him from leaving your yard - he lives in a terrarium for now, but will live in the penned yard with the others when he gets bigger
to you have to take him to the vet - Not unless he gets sick
why is he walking on his tippy toes - he was walking fast
does he like for you to pet his head - yes, he loves it
will he snap you - no desert tortoises move slow, no snapping
he looks like fun - he is the best pet

Sorry guys.  But you just have to look at this website.  You will see all my three dogs on the home page in their Christmas best.  The first pic is of Bernie, she's my Briard cross Irish wolfhound.  The second is Harri.  She is my shihsu/poodle cross and the three pic is off my baby in the avatar and she is all grown up.  The website is www.spoiltrottendoggy.com.au.  xxx

Lucinda - Your dogs are so cute!  I'm jealous that you can get them to wear props, my dogs rip them off and eat them.

We took this picture of Scooby last night and I love it.  He's such a happy dog and wags his tail all the time.  In this picure you can see how fast he is wagging his tail, it's all blurry.  He just celebrated his 1st birthday last week!

I had a pet moment last night.  I was walking through WalMart and looking at Christmas decorations.  There were all the pet "stockings" filled with doggy treats and toys.  I had to choke back tears.  First time in 15 years won't be wrapping presents for our sweet dog.   He would always sniff around the tree trying to find the box with the doggy snacks!  And his new toy would keep him busy while we opened our presents.   I think I really want to get a cat (like Richard's Chelsea) but my husband isn't in agreement  --   :thumbdown;

I wouldn't have it any other way!

Richard, sorry about the momentary lapse of memory ---  of course I meant Celeste!  How could I mix up the name of my future Grand-kitty!!     AlohaBeth says I need to get a cat, too.  Something to curl up with me and sit quietly by my side.  I am home alone alot (well, not at the moment with Beth home)  and the house seems empty without paws walking around.    We shall see.   Remember how much Susie wanted a kitty and Sam finally gave in?  She loved her cat so much.   Maybe Santa will think I have been very good this year and leave on under the tree.   :santahat;

See Beth and I agree on something already. Why haven't you sent me her phone number yet???  :rofl;

I can absolutely tell you that Celeste has been a real godsend for me and she DOES curl up next to me... right when I need it. They can just tell when you need TLC.. aren't feeling too great and just need to lie quietly. Celeste doesn't bug me even if she wants food or anything she just knows to come sit quietly on my chest or by my side and just be a companion... and the wonderful thing is she doesn't ask for much... a clean litter tray and water bowl and food and she gives back so much.. specially because I live alone it's very important to me to come home and there she is waiting by the door with a meow and a cuddle and it's nearly been 5 years we've been together (lol my longest relationship with a woman!! lmao) and totally the best thing that has happened to me this decade so far (a transplant would possibly just top it but has to happen first :) ).

of course if I had beth to curl up beside me... uh yeah I think I better just leave that thought there.... Celeste is looking at me with a "don't even think about it mister.. that's MY spot!" look!!!

after I posted I went and gave Celeste a big cuddle and told her I loved her and she was the best thing that's happened to me. She responded by drooling all over me.. which I guess is a sign that she agrees with that assessment....  :rofl;

I have a fifteen year old cranky female bull terrier! woof woof woof! is significantly louder than meow  :rofl;

To be fair to Chloe though, she doesn't woof much, but she is very demanding when she does so!

Dorothy (our 9 y.o. bull terrier) gets the occasional bite (more a snapping of the air in Dorothy's general direction really, not actually a bite) when she annoys chloe, aka "her elderly grumpiness", but otherwise the household is still perfectly harmonious.

Here is a resized version. If one of the moderators/administrators doesn't get to it, just save this picture, go back to your original post and click on edit. Go down and add the new resized photo and also delete the the original big sized photo from the post.. Microsoft PowerToys has a download to resize pictures, so when you right click on a photo in a folder, it gives the option to resize it.

This is for XP, but I think there is one for Vista also.
