Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.
New kidney in a paired donation swap July 26, 2017.

No transplant.  Not yet, anyway.  Only decided to be listed on 11/9/06. Inactive at the moment.  ;)
I make films.

Just the facts: 70.0 kgs. (about 154 lbs.)
Treatment: Tue-Thur-Sat   5.5 hours, 2x/wk, 6 hours, 1x/wk
Dialysate flow (Qd)=600;  Blood pump speed(Qb)=315
Fresenius Optiflux-180 filter--without reuse
Fresenius 2008T dialysis machine
My KDOQI Nutrition (+/ -):  2,450 Calories, 84 grams Protein/day.

One of the things I like about their approach to the renal diet is that they speak in terms of mg of phosphorus and potassium in each food serving, rather than don't eat this or that.

It's more informative and empowering, and less of creating a dependent relationship.

Great site. 

I recognized the cookbook right away because it's been featured on the PKD Foundation's home page.  After a little digging on the new site I learned that KidneyWise was created by the PKD Foundation.  I guess this is why they have been pushing the importance of raising funds for patient education for those of us involved in their fundraising campaigns.  I haven't noticed any links from the pkdcure.org site yet.

Karol and Zach how did you learn about it?

I get the newsletter (actually it's more like a magazine) called "PKD PROGRESS" from the PKD foundation - the Summer 2008 issue was about nutrition.
