That he does, Glitter, that he does.

When it comes from the heart, it's amazingly poetic.  Sincerity will always ring true.

Beautiful obituary.  I'm glad they used a picture with Sam,  Susie would have wanted it like that...

"See??? I told you!! He is gorgeous!!"  I can hear her saying that!!!

Prayers said and a sadness prevails even though I've only been a member of this board for a week.
Susie welcomed me onto this board. I'm so sad that I have to bid her farewell on the same board.

God Bless Susan Trevino and her family.

Many tears from this end as I type this post.

Okarol called me from the viewing to let me know that Susie is wearing her Raiders Shirt and her Tiara. There were many tears amongst a little laughter about the tiara. As I spoke to Karol, Paris showed up and I was able to speak to her for a little while as well. Karol and Vandie rode up together and I think Kitkatz will be there tomorrow.  I feel awful for not being there as I'm sure many of you feel the same, but I take great comfort in the way we are represented.

Thank you, Karol, Vandie, and Kit ---

I love the thought that Goofynina's wearing her tiara!  That's precious and so appropriate.

I just got home. I am so grateful for Vandie and Adrian for coming to pick me up and drive the 4 hours each way to say good bye to Goofynina. Paris and hubby arrived after a long flight and then drove in from San Francisco. Susie's family really "gets" her - the Raiders shirt and tiara made seeing her a little easier. Her nieces spent a lot of time making 2 poster boards filled with photos - Epoman was on there too. Sluff had sent a beautiful cross of white and red roses, that said "Our Beloved Admin." Sam had made a cd that was playing at the viewing, which included songs like Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" & "Tears In Heaven", "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole, "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers, "Susie Q" by Creedence Clearwater Revival and Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World", to name a few. That had us all sobbing. We were welcomed like family and Susie's sister Terri invited us to join them for dinner at a local restaurant. Afterwards we went to the rosary at a beautiful old Catholic Church. I have a few photos, as does Vandie and Paris. I will try to post tomorrow.
I still can't get used to the idea that she's gone. Man, I miss that girl!

Karol, how was Sam holding up?  I just cannot imagine how hard this is for him.

Paris -- what an extrordinary effort you made to go to say good bye to Goofynina!  Thank you for representing us, too!

I wish I could be there also.
Paris, I am so glad you were able to make that long trip there.
Yes, Raiders shirt and a tiara sounds very fitting.

As others have already said thank you very much to those that were able to go and represent the IHD family.  Just as visiting her while she was ill meant alot to the rest of us that could not go so does this.  As soon as I read the Raiders shirt and Tiara I immediately formed that picture in my head.  What a perfect way to remember her, though the thought makes me smile and cry at the same time  Thank you all for your efforts.

...I feel awful for not being there...

Hermano, you are there - your heart, your soul... your love for Susie.

...as are so many of us. That room is crowded beyond belief, well, not really beyond belief. Anyone knowing Susie would expect that no room would have sufficient capacity for everyone wanting to "walk her home".

Sluff,
 :grouphug;
Rolando and Alene

...and as Sluff said, IHD was well represented. Thank you!

1. Chapel for visitation
2. Italian restaurant - Paris and hubby, and Vandie. I just know Goofynina would have tried to speculate as to WHAT Paris is describing there  >:D
3. The church, filling up before the rosary
