I did have a sort off choice, but I have to wait a year longer before I could go on CAPD. Refused to go on Haemo. My Transplant was near the end then. I had to go on a couple of sessions of Haemo, just before I went on CAPD. I had a couple of fits. My lab results were in the roof.

It's probably supposed to be Home Hemo Nocturnal.  I know the Fresenius 2008K home machine has a special setting for nocturnal use.  You turn on this setting and if an alarm situation occurs it tries to correct itself before alarming out loud, and the screen dims so you don't have this big bright screen in your face all night.

I didnt have a choice,  i went into the hospital almost comatose and on a stretcher and woke up with this tube sticking out of my neck,  was there for a month and then in October they put the fistula in my arm.  Did that for 3 years (kicking and screaming of course)  and now,  thanks to my dietician who highly recommended me to go to PD cuz i couldnt stop gaining weight talked me through it, i watched videos, read books and asked alot of questions....and hopefully i will never have to look back at Hemo,  (for now at least)  but i am grateful it is there,,,,sorry guys :-\

No choice for me either...  Met the Neph at 2 pm and at 4 pm I was getting a line... He said I was lucky I didn't wake up dead that day..   :o
He just doesn't know how tough I am...  ;) ;D
