Remember the "I feel weird" thread..... weeeelllllll..... I am glad I kept pushing it. The REAL reason why I was swelling so bad is because I had a large blood clot at the end of my catheter!!!! I kept pushing the issue and they did a second cat scan but went further down on my chest....that is where they found it... they put me in ICU and started immediately pushing blood thinners. I finally got out last week but I have felt horrible so I have not been on line much. For 6 days I had to inject myself in the stomach with blood thinners twice a day. I am also on coumadin (more thinners) until further notice. I also found out last week that my vein is too deep in my arm, so my fistula will not be useable until I have surgery to bring the vein up closer to the surface..... and I cant have surgery right now cause of the thinners. AAAGGGHHH!!!!
Sooooo... just wanted to let yall know why I have not been on line much... just haven't felt very good lately... been lazy.

I am so glad you kept telling them something was wrong. Another reason why it is so important to know your body and insist that someone listens to you. You have been through a lot. I hope you can get some rest; I am sure it felt good to be home. Sending lots of good energy and good thoughts your way

Man, so glad you were persistant. Seems to me our doctor's do not take the time to listen, or maybe they think we are paranoid. Really glad you are OK

I am glad to hear they investigated further. The "just sleep in a recliner" answer didn't seem sensible to me. I hope you feel better and better every day!

Donnia,
Thank God you were persistant about not finding out what was "not right" with the way you were feeling. The Drs. sometimes do not like to be challanged in this manner, but let's fac e it, it is not their body, it is yours, and you above all know when there is something out of wack. Glad to see you feel better, will pray that all will go OK for you from here on in
Anne

SO glad you pushed it and found the issue. I'm so happy you are doing better. A co-worker of mine had a stroke yesterday morning, she's only 40, so young! She has a clot in her brain that they are working to find and fix. If you didn't push the matter, you could have ended up the same way! Dr.'s need to listen to patients, they know their body the best! Rest and get better!!!!!
