I am sorry for the absence my friends. I haven't been feeling very good mentally or physically. I have had a few personal problems that had really brought me down. I know now i could have come on here and had many of my friends talk with me. I guess sometimes you just want to crawl in a hole and hide. Once i started to feel a little better My blood pressure started to rise. I also started to get sick and can't seem to keep anything down. I had an infection that lasted for around three weeks. As i write this i am still getting sick. On Monday at dialysis my pressure stayed high through out the treatment. Right before she took me off i felt like a elephant was sitting on my chest. They gave me oxygen and once i felt better she started to take the needles out. On the second needle which was sitting on the nerve she put too much pressure on it and once it was pulled it felt like a bee sting. One that wouldn't go away. I tried to breathe right to control the pain. Because another shift was coming in i had to leave. I walked out and sat in the waiting area for awhile. I could have died there and no one would have noticed. It lasted most of the day. Right now it is OK. Gee can't wait for Wednesday's dialysis!

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

I realize that they had another shift coming in but maybe before you went to the waiting area you could just ask the nurse to check on you until you feel better. Just an idea. It sucks being alone but it sucks even more feeling alone. We are here for you Keefer.

Hey Keef, I am glad you came here to share. It seems perfectly natural to have your health suffer when you're mending the emotional stuff, just as having physical illness can affect your emotional balance. I Hope over time the sadness will lift and you will be stronger and more able to fight off the infections. Take care of yourself my friend.
