"It's a beautiful day in Paradise" - a song about our islands.  And it IS a beautiful day.  I am at the airport welcoming visitors, and it is so great that I can guarantee that they will have a good time here.  They are mostly sailing around the islands and enjoying the beautiful weather that we are having.
All you guys should come on a sailing trip here!

Hey Bajanne
Thanks for that oh so pleasant little day dream interlude.  I was snorkeling and swimming then having dinner with you in a nice French restaurant and we had a great time together, one small island woman and one "big hilan ooman".

That made me laugh  :rofl; - said with the proper Jamaican pronunciation!
By the way, I have a brother living in Jamaica (he is a tutor at UWI), and he promises to have me spend some time with him.  The last time I was in Jamaica was 1973!!!  We have to check out the dialysis possibilities so I can spend more than just a weekend in 'dat big hilan'.

Every single day that I wake up and I'm able to feel the sun on my face or pet my little pug dog or talk to my boyfriend or my family I am happy that I am able to do dialysis and stay alive. I love living, I love laughing, I love learning everything there is to learn in this world. I will do anything it takes to stay alive. Even if dialysis sucks one day, there is still always something funny to laugh about. I'm happy that today my phosphorus is low enough to eat some cheesecake! <3  :)

I have Alport's Syndrome. My kidneys failed when I was 14 and I was on PD for five years before receiving a kidney transplant from my mother. That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.

The hospital called this morning and they've started the ball rolling for cross-match testing of me and four of my potential donors.  I'm counting no chickens, I'm bracing for all bad news but I'm excited and that is something good.  Very good.  Most touching of all is how happy my husband is and how much he wants to be "the one".  Ahh people fighting over me....this never happened in my love life but hey I'll take a kidney over roses any day of the week.

I went to an advance screening of Iron Man last night...that's good!

I missed the last 2 or 3 minutes of the movie (nothing important...the climax had already happened) due to a huge storm causing the power to go out at the theater...that's bad...

...But I got a free movie pass (well, 2 actually) so I can see Indiana Jones when it comes out for free and then sneak in and see the last couple minutes of Iron Man that I missed...that's good!!

Been told i can use my laptop whilst on hemo. The only thing is typing left handed and the speed is very slow. Old dial up speeds. But I can now kill that 5 hours on the web.

I never go to dialysis without mine, Kevno. My center has wifi. Even if you don't feel like typing, you can also watch movies or listen to music.
