TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) _ A chance meeting between an Idaho Falls vacuum cleaner salesman and a would-be customer in Twin Falls has led to an altogether different transaction: The donation of a kidney.
Three years ago, 35-year-old Paul w kidneys failed. That meant costly dialysis _ and a wait on the University of Colorado's 500-person-strong transplant list.
Enter Jamie Howard. Last spring, he came to Sucher's door trying to convince him to buy a Kirby vacuum.
Sucher's family told him they couldn't afford one _ because of the medical problems.
Howard and Sucher shared blood types, and that got Howard thinking: He would donate his own kidney.
After the August operation, Sucher says he feels great _ almost as if he'd never lost his kidneys in the first place.
He calls it ''truly a miracle.''
