I added a post to the transplant stories section and a notice
came up saying I had already made a post on that thread.
Is that not allowed on some threads?

I have never heard of this before, did it let you post it anyways?  I know sometimes i have tried to add a post the same time someone else is posting and it will sometimes add it twice, but even then i dont get a message, hmmmmm, verrrrrry interesting things going on here lately   ???

Just a glitch. I have had that happen before also. If there is a double post you can ask a admin to remove the double post.

It wasn't a double post.  It was a new post and no it did not put it in.
I just went to a different thread in the same section and it accepted it there.
I just wondered as that had never happened before.
You're right, probably a glitch.

Yup I had that happen to me just the other day. I went back to see if anyone responded to my post and didn't even see my post. Weird.
