1984 double nephrectomy
1985 transplant from dad
1998 lost dads kidney, start PD
2003 peritineum burst, back to hemo
2012 start Nxstage home hemo
2020 start Gambro AK96

still on waitinglist, still ok I think

So painful to read. There are too many of these niches of hell--dialysis centers, prisons, nursing homes, to name a few--where people are completely vulnerable to whatever predator comes along. This is not right.

The part about home dialysis had me remembering a friend of mine who I spoke often to and testified in front of the US Senate more than twenty years ago: Dr. Kenneth Bays. (Rest in Peace Brother)

I can only wondering how many lives could have been saved if we had a system like Australia and New Zealand's.

Excuse me now, I need to do some wailing.
