I don't take insulin, but I find the site stings after my Aranesp (darbeopoitin - sp?) injections. |

The actual needle is about 3/4 of an inch long. I don't know if that is short or long. I'm injecting in my belly area, switching sides( at least 1 inch away from the belly button) each injection. The stinging is tolerable but was just wondering if it is normal, it only lasts maybe at most a half hour after the injection. |

I'm glad you're out. Sorry about the insulin. I've never been on Lantis, I currently wear a pump, but I've never had stinging that lasts more than a minute after an injection. Cold insulin is obviously more uncomfortable though. Are you injecting into fleshy/fatty areas? |
