I was trying to change my email address from mpm227@optonline,net to mpm557@outlook.com and apples iPad password screwed me up if possible please reset my password and send new password to mpm557@outlook..com

Sorry you are having this problem but so am I.  Tried signing in on a new tablet and except for this instance which has a saved password, I cannot use any other electronic device to get on site.  I get the opportunity to log in on the Forum page but then it says that the site timed out.  Weird!!

Actually my problem is I am moving next Tuesday and right in the middle of changing my email and password my current isp deleted my account and terminated my session.  My email is on their system so I was trying to change it to my new email.  I think I will wait till I move into my father in laws house (he’s 93 has been having memory problems so I sold my house in NJ and instead of moving to the Adirondacks we are moving in with him since he does better in his own house.  I didn’t have the heart to make him move so mu Adirondack dreams are on hold for the time being.  Oh well such is life.

Since I can login the service must’ve dropped before the request for change.went through.  Thanks for asking it takes the isp forever to make a change but cancel and they are right on it.  That plus the 4 calls asking if I would like to keep my service.  The answer I am moving out of town did not seem to get through to them.

It is best never to tie your email to one ISP.   Googlemail and similar services are one solution.

Another is to register your own domain, and run your own email server, Hillary style.   The IHD server also serves as the host for my personal email domain that is separate from the ISP that provides service to my house.

I switched to outlook.com some time ago one thing about running your own mail server I absolutely loathe sendmail. I used to work for the city of New York and they were required to send email to the state at least twice a month the state would screw with their setup requirering delving into the stranger aspects of sendmail.  The only product I have ever seen that had a manual to explain the manual. I break out in hives every time I had to futz with that script.

I received your email about resetting my password but had already discovered the fix for it.  Biggest problem now is that I cannot have but two devices registered on the IHD site and I have at least two more than that used for reading this forum.  Other forums handle multiple log ins fine.....no problems.
