Hello,
I am wondering what other ESRF (pre-dialysis) people put on their slice of bread?
For breakfast I have a tiny slither of low fat Cheddar cheese grilled on a slice of toasted bread...
 ... and, when peckish, I spread a little organic strawberry jam on a slice of bread ...
Sometimes I feel this is a bit boring and I wonder what other people put on their piece of bread?
I am a vegetarian, have to avoid garlic (allergy) and can’t eat anything containing salt ...
I try to avoid preservatives where I can and at the same time I keep an eye on my potassium levels,
... and therefore I can’t afford to experiment too wildly...
What kidney-friendly vegetarian spread do you put on your slice of bread ?

I do eat  a fresh pear every day for my breakfast .. . unfortunately I can't eat any ginger
because ginger acts as a "trigger" for  further Lupus (SLE and MCTD) flare-ups...

I like to use biscoff spread as a replacement for Peanut Butter. I have a full review and nutritional information here: http://www.diningondialysis.com/product-review-biscoff/

I also like to spread some neufchatel cheese which is basically cream cheese but it has less nutritional value all the way around and tastes great. You can find the nutritional information for it here: http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/31
