Hi to every one! I have been looking around the sight for a couple of hours and thought I should at least introduce myself?
I am Peter Fraser, I have been on Haemo for about 13 months, and I am struggling with it all still!
I am from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia I will discuss another time my hatred for the unit I dialysed in :-)
I must be careful as some of the RN's read this site also, they put me on to you guys!
I am 46, married 23 years, no children. Had a transplant in 1979 which lasted 25 years and I enjoyed every minute and lived every minute! Contracted membranous-glomerulonephritis god only knows where from, doctors in New Zealand did not treat it aggressively enough so here I am doing what I hate most "Dialysis"!
i would love to hear from all of you who share a similar journey as mine and i look forward to talking with all kinds of people from all over the planet.

cheers

Hello Peter and welcome to the site. You posted you hope this is the correct page to introduce myself well this is the "Dialysis: General Discussion" section but it's alright I'll just move this thread to the "Introduce Yourself" section and put it in its proper section to keep everything organized. Anyway welcome to the site and I hope to see many posts from you. I think it's great the RN's let you know about this place. Feel free to rant and vent or to just come and ask quesitons or even just talk. And tell your fellow patients about the site.
