Hating Dialysis since Day 1 and everyday since then!!!!

You mean no relatives or friends fodmskme has to lose a kidney? Sweet!. Just like that Repomen movie I didn't watch (which my brother referenced at my transplant evaluation, lol)!
Keeping my eyes open....and also for the kidney in a jar that they grow from my own stem cells (or however that works). That, kids, would be sweet if it worked...

35 years old, first dx w/ chronic renal insufficiency at 28, pre-dialysis
born with persistent cloaca--have you heard of it? Probably not, that's ok.
lots of surgeries, solitary left kidney (congenital)
chronic uti's/pyelonephritis

I think I'd rather a clone, unless I'd have to have a whole body clone, like in The Island.
Unless you mean "cooler," because it's a cyborg kidney, which is pretty cool. :thumbed;
You know what they need to work on? A way to prevent or somehow dissolve scar tissue. Yeah....that would help out in a lot of ways, I think, at least for me. I could have babies post-transplant then!
