Paul's ride 2011

« on: December 15, 2011, 06:49:20 AM »

Sorry haven't been here for a while.  No problems just forgot my password and just a bit too much of a procrastinator to reset it.  (I know it takes like 30 seconds).  A little about me for those who may have forgotton, and those new.  Assuming I make it to April 12, 2012 I'll be celebrating 39 years with the same kidney transplant.

No issues from the last time I was here except three squamous cell skin cancers.  I get so many of these that its basically routine now.  Except that I had was one on each hand.  Decided to have both done at the same time.  Not a good idea.  I had the use of only three fingers on my left hand (I'm right handed) for a week....not fun.

Oh and for some strange reason I had a blood clot in my right leg that landed me in the hospital for three days.  Not sure why someone like me got one.  At 5'7" I weight 140 lbs soaking wet, have a cholesterol of about 130-140, cycle 2,500+ miles a year and did not take any long trips.  Even the doctors were baffled.   The most upsetting was that I was in the hospital.  That was only the second time since I left one after my transplant in 1973.  The other time was a bad bike crash.

Well nice to be back.  I wrote down my passwork, hopfully in a place I can remember to find it.

 :yahoo;

Bill! I've been wondering where you were. Sorry to hear you broke your hospital-avoidance streak.

Don't be such a stranger again. Three fingers is one more than my husband uses to type, so that excuse does not hold water with me, my friend! >:D

Welcome back.
