no I didn’t have pain like that. I think pain that feels like it is ripping you is plain wrong. I had strong pain when I walked or laughed, and I remember that sense of weirdness about my innards (grieved bits like my cervix) and I still feel nervous about having a poo (that really hurt for a while), but no just general pain. If I lay or sat, I generally felt fine. It was just painful when I did things. My mum made me walk a little each day, and that hurt at first, but she proved right, in that it didn’t do any harm and the Dr said would speed up the recovery. I had some worrying bleeding and rang the gyno who said nothing to worry about. So I guess I am saying, if she has pain when she’s not doing anything, then that is probably not normal.
Forgot to say – I also felt like sleeping alot. My gyno, a man said to take 4 weeks off. My GP, a woman, said 6. I took the 6 and hobbled about at work for the 7th, but was pretty much back to physically normal by 8. I found I was very teary and low for about 3 months, and am still on hormone replacement therapy, or I still get teary, much more easily than I used to. I just remembered that I did have a pain in my side that worried me, that I thought was related to the Hysterectomy, but after xrays and scans, turned out to be muscular-skeletal, and with physio and pilates is now pretty much gone. I forgot about that in my first email.
a bit of humor- i had a dream the other night that my neph impregnated my fistula..................
