First food to eat

I was watching food network and thought what would be the first thing I would eat after I get a transplant. I can sure go for spaghetti with heavy tomato sauce with meatball and glass of orange juice with heavy pulp.

For me, whatever food is irrevlevant as long as it is served with a giant ice-cold Pepsi. Preferably a Pepsi Throwback with the real sugar.

Blokey isn't fussed about his food (he eats more or less what he wants anyway, lots of things in moderation and only occasionally, obviously) but he is longing to be able to drink what he wants, when he wants, for as long as he wants.

I think about my first post-transplant meal all the time.
I will be having a bowl of Heinz cream of tomato soup with buttered bread followed by a jacket potato with beans and cheese. If I've got any room for dessert I'll have a banoffee pie.
To accompany my meal I will have a selection of fizzy drinks including Pepsi Max, Cherry Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper and Carters Root Beer. A phosphorous overload!

Funny, funny.
Carl had to force himself to eat for the first few days after the transplant. Nothing tasted good!
It wasn't just that it was hospital food, either!
But then, he never was that crazy about eating and he never completely eliminated anything except grapefruit and starfruit. He just always ate in moderation.

I wanted cold drinks for the first few days. Like Carl, food didn't taste very good, and I didn't have a specific request. 9 months later, still no real cravings and still don't eat much. I do like soups!
