  Hello, Everyone--
It's been a while, so I wanted to give you an update.
Yesterday, I was at the VA med center getting some "maintenance work" done on the new graft over my right biceps. The doctor decided to go in by way of my right femoral artery. The procedure went well, and the puncture site developed a henatoma, so I ended staying the night. This morning, the doctor let me sit up, have breakfast, and I was at my clinic for my Thursday treatment by 12 noon.
The bitter part of this is that before I went to the VA for the procedure(literally, as I was waiting for my ride!) I was called by the local transplant clinic I have been signed up with for the last year. To make a long story short, they have decided that they will not transplant me any longer. Disappointing yes, but they have really wrung me through their wringer the last year and a half about what it takes to qualify for "their" transplant program, and to be honest, I'm not really all that devastated, or anything like that.
The nice thing they told me was that if I can find another center to register at, all results of tests, discussions, and all my waiting time credits could be passed on to the new center, which I thought was pretty nice.
So,I will talk to my clinic's social worker next week, and get things rolling.

Hello, JScott1753,
Thanks for the update.
I am sorry that your Centre let you go through all the procedures, and have, as you say,
“wrung you through their wringer the last year and a half about through their transplant procedures”
and have decided not to transplant you any longer.

That seems a hard lesson to take after all that effort you went through
and I wonder if they have explained to you
why they no longer wish to assist you in your hope for a transplant?

Has your health deteriorated, so that it would be a bit risky to undertake such an operation?
Has anything changed like your weight etc?

I do hope you find another Centre to register and hopefully you have more luck there.

Best wishes from Kristina.
