Hi, I use this to resize my pictures its  free to dowmload and very easy to use . Hope it helps ( Epoman posted this on the home page )

Cheeers Charee

Want to post a picture of yourself in our "I Hate Dialysis Family Album"? located here: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=1227.0 Or maybe you want to post an image in another thread.

If you do not know how to or do not have a program that resizes the pictures for you. Well I have a very simple solution. Download this VERY small and extremely simple to use program for Windows users, it is called "Power Toy Image Resizer" and when I need a quick image resized it's all I use. It's FREE and very easy to install. Here is the link directly to the install file:

Depends what OS you have Texas. If you have Windows 7 or Vista, the above image resizer will give problems since it is for XP. This was a major complaint on Microsoft's Tech board forum. I still wonder why they did not put it back on Vista or 7. So there are two free programs to download that offer the same flexability as the PowerToy Resizer for XP. One is called Prish Image Resizer and the other is called VSO Image resizer. For Apple OS, I do not know.
Prish download: http://download.cnet.com/Prish-Image-Resizer/3000-2192_4-75180364.html
VSO download: Just looked up and it is now called Light Image Resizer (New Company Name): http://light-image-resizer.en.softonic.com/

Also to answer that question, it means that there is a set standard for size to fit in a profile picture/ avatar. There is also a set standard for posting pictures in threads so that they are not to large to see and so that they load easily on everyones computer so it does not take forever to load an image. 600 X 800, 640 X 480 wil work fine, to small and image is to small and blurry when enlarged.
