I know that by reading lots of posts, that I have only been on Dialysis for a short amount of time compared to lots of people. I have only been on for 6 months!
I have been getting very discouraged and depressed. It seems that no matter how hard I try to do the right thing as far as my treatment, that nothing good happens. I follow the renal diet as best I can, I watch my fluid intake, all that stuff!
But yesterday, I had a visit from my Nephrologist at the center. WOW, what a surprise! He didn't send his N.P. Anyway, he looked at all my test results and was very pleased. Everything looked GREAT, my KT/V was 1.92!!!!!!!
So, finally, he dropped my time from 4 hours to 3 3/4 hours x 3/per week
. I WAS SO HAPPY! Even that 15 minutes seems like HOURS to me. It was like he breathed in life into me. Finally, something good has come at all the hard work and struggle that I've been doing. It FINALLY paid off! Today, I have a renewed sense of purpose!
What a good day
. . . but I STILL HATE DIALYSIS!!!!!
