Iam on the twilight shift at Queen hospital in Romford (east london) in the UK. ... I am on a FRESENIUS 5008 machine. Is my normal machine although we have a variety of machines and I sometimes use other machines. My pump speed today is 380 And if my venus pressure stays low I will raise it to 400. If pressure goes high I will lower it. At the moment it is at 205.ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR VISTULA!
I'm on a Fresenius 4008 and its great fault (as I understand it) is its inability to warn you when your blood pressure drops, especially if you are too close to your IW. ie you are taking off too much fluid. So I have learnt to watch my BP like a bloody hawk and how to back off quickly...either grab some saline or reduce/cancel your UF goal. How do you find the Kindle?...I've been thinking about getting one.
