My neph has just informed me that I have to go for my third heart stress test. If it comes up negative, I get put off the transplant list.That would truly devastate me. As I was walking out of his door, he commented" "don't muck this up". Can't get clearer than that. I will be on tenterhooks until Wed, Oct 5. Any prayers my way would be much appreciated.

best of luck mate. I can't imagine how that would feel for you - specially when it's something you have little control over. My best wishes for your heart that it can handle it so you can still be in line for that gift!!

I'm sorry...I'm a bit confused. (Not a rare occurrence, to be sure.)  What did the other two tests show?  I am assuming there was a problem of some sort...what has your doctor done for you that will increase your chances of passing this third one?  If you get taken off the transplant list, can you get back on at a later date?

Hopefully this is all irrelevant and you will pass with flying colors.  But I can imagine how you'd feel.   :cuddle;  We'll all be thinking of you!

Firstly, many thank yous for your thoughts. You have no idea how good it makes me feel. To Mooseman: apparently in OZ when you reach a certain age (over 55) they are not sure if your body can take the operation. My last two tests were positive but it is something I have to face annually.

I wish you the very best of luck.

I had to take the test three times myself, before I finally passed it.

So hopefully, for you too, three times' a charm!

Lots of prayers for you Murf.  Keep your mind in a good spot, try to stay calm and we will all be thinking positive thoughts.   Will the doctor try to fix things if there is a problem?  (there won't be!)   My doctors kept telling me that they weren't trying to rule me out, just trying to find things to fix before sugery.     BUT, you are going to pass this one.  You have all of us behind you!    We are surrounding you with good thoughts and many prayers.      :grouphug;

If it doesn't rain, it pours. Seemed to have twisted a muscle at the side of my back. Can hardly move. I don't think I will be able to complete the exercises needed for the heart stress test. See if I can postpone for a week or so. Maybe my body or your prayers are delaying the test until I am a little fitter? God works in mysterious ways. Will keep you posted.
