itchy itchy!

I have this weird itch on my body. It's all over. It's not like the itch when your fos is high where you itch from the inside out, this is an itch like you have been bitten by masquitos only all over your body.
Nothing has changed with my treatment, we don't reuse dialyzers, my fos is great, and calcium is also fine. I also haven't changed any sopes or detergents. We haven't changed any materials with the dialyzers either. It feels like I'm alergict to something though.
Anyone know what could be going on?

i would assume you have very dry skin as a dialysis patient. I have read previously that even high vitamin A and your parathyroid can have something to do with this. I'm sure so much more. Make sure you tell the nurses! I hope this subsidesquickly for you. I waish I knew an exact cause and could give you a remedy. My husband has very dry skin since being a dialysis patient. All that fluid alone they take out is dehydrating.If it something that is wildly out of control and your dr. says you area able, Atarex (presciption) really helps. I was on meds before that caused itching. I used a hair brush it was so intense. Again, tell your dr. nurses.

Are you taking  any new  meds??    Do you  have  the  itching  24/7  or  only  at  certain  times?  could  it  be  a  food you're  eating?   
Sometimes  on  dialysis   we  can  become  allergic  to  things we  were  fine  with  pre-dialysis.   In  my  case,  a  yr  after  I  started  dialysis  I  became  allergic  to  earrings.    I  can't  wear  any  type of  earrings my  earlobes  start  to  itch.
It  could  also  be  the laundry detergent you.     My  sister  can  only use  Tide  because her  kids  start  itching  if  she  uses  anything  else.

Hope you  can  find  a solution  to this  problem  soon.

I also have an itch problem. My phos, is under control and I've tried moisturizing lotions. Most of the time that works to prevent/relieve the itch. (texasstyle I also used a hair brusg to relieve that intense itch, I wonder how many other D patients uses a brush for that kind of itch and admit to it  )

I've had type of itch before (for over a year) It got so bad I actually took a knife and just scrapped up and down my body. It got so bad I got giant blisters on my hands and body and my nails and hair fell out. I itched so bad I was in tears. I also had nothing change in my treatment and tried lotions, moisturizers, anti-histamines to no avail. Finally, my dermatologist suggested that they stop the epogen during treatments, and low and behold the itching stopped. I was allergic to the epogen. I'm not saying this is your problem, but it's just something you may want to look into. I can comiserate with you and your itching. Please keep use posted!

I had that kind of "mosquito bite itch" all over my body, when my PTH was way too high (around 1,000).  It started to get better when all those Zemplar injections reduced by PTH to around 300.

I told our only nurse we have now and the unit and she acted like I was making it up. I don't understand why some d nurses act like we make things up.
Anyways, I see my neph Wednesday so will ask him.
If the epo was causing the issue then what do they use if your hg goes too low? I know there's prokrit but our unit doesn't cary it.

There's  procrit  and  aranesp,
If your   unit  doesn't  carry it,  then they  will have to, if you're allergic  to  EPO.
