    Having all kinds of problems getting on site. Have to click on URL over and over and site finally loads
Is this due to the Server Upgrade going on ???

It could be the reason. It won't be long and this will be over. Thank you for your patience.

I have had the same problem all week.  Hopefully, it will all smooth it self out soon.  I had a small panic attack when I couldn't get on the first time!    :rofl;

I have had success by emptying the cache and deleting cookies (ok don't ask me what it does, I just know it works!)

I was out of town when the site upgrade took place, so apologies if this is a redundant comment, but I've noticed that I no longer receive email notification of private messages.  I have gone to my profile page numerous times and have made sure that I've used the option "always" when asked if I wanted email notification, but I still do not receive it.  I did, however, check the box allowing for a pop-up to notify me of receipt of new PMs once I log on to the site...does this have anything to do with why I no longer receive email notifications?

Thanks!

We are still working on the transfer. Trying to coordinate my time and access with the server has been difficult. We will hopefully be done soon because I have to start a new job wednesday.

    Still having trouble getting on site. Sometimes I have to click on URL 20 x before I
can connect. Have tried deleting cache, cookies etc., but that hasn't worked.
    Does anyone else still have this problem ?

I always have trouble getting in if I use Internet Explorer, but Safari or Firefox work fine on my mac.
Please let me know what browser, computer and operating system you're using and we will try to figure out what's happening.

I have the same problem, in fact I have to get in through the Cpanel. I am waiting for them to get the forum installed correctly on the new server. Everything else is working fine but the forum doesn't show up yet. Sorry for the delay, but we are working on it.  I was really hoping to have this behind us for the 5 year anniversary.

I'm still not getting any email notifications of private messages.  The only way I know if I have received a PM is if I log on, and then a pop up appears telling me how many new PMs I have.  I've looked at my profile which shows I am supposed to get notified by email, but it's not happening.  Just thought I'd let you know.

have you checked the email address that you're subscribed under? Look in your profile - have you changed anything recently?

Also have you checked your "junk" or "spam" mailbox? maybe the IHD mail is going there by mistake and you need to have us as a "safe sender"

There are no entries in my spam mailbox.  On my IHD profile page, the email address is correct, although up to today, my email addy had never been publicly shown.  That needs to be removed, please, for privacy purposes.

I changed it this time MM, but just so you know, it's a box that you check or uncheck in your profile, and you can edit it anytime you want.

I had not touched anything in my profile.  Cariad had posted on a thread that she had tried to send me a PM but that it had been blocked.  I had been away for a couple of weeks while my mom was ill, so I had not heard about the update, nor had I even been on IHD.  So I went to the profile page about notifications, and I saw that the appropriate box indicated that I was to receive notifications from "administrators only".  I changed that to read "all members" and figured that was the end of it.  The box still shows I am to receive email notifications of PMs from "all members", but I receive only a popup when I actually log on.  I used to receive emails, but not any more.  And today I checked again, and still the box reads "all members", but my email address was suddenly displayed...this was a new twist.  Anyway, thanks for removing it.  I just don't want people thinking that I am ignoring their PMs, and I can't figure out why I am suddenly not receiving notifications.  But if this was my biggest problem in life, I'd be laughing!

Sorry the completion is taking so long but I once again had to switch jobs and it limits the time I have to work on the site. I started the largest part of the upgrade when I was off work but unfortunately the hosting company was overwhelmed and it just didn't go as I was hoping. So please be patient I am working on all the issues and I will not rest until everything is running correctly.

Thanks Sluff, for all you continued work on this.   Thankfully, the glitches are small and we can work through this process.  I have had a couple of hiccups, but 99.99% of the time, things run beautifully.      :2thumbsup;

Thanks Sluff.

We too have had a lot of trouble getting on.

One thing that has the best success is going to yahoo and searching "I Hate Dialysis" When we click on the link there, it almost always gets us on.

Sorry there is no magic button. I will however get a hold of the hosting company and let them know things are not operating smoothly.
