The time has come when we will need to upgrade and change servers. For those of you who know how things work , we are moving to a different server which may take a little time to complete.
Once finished the forum should load faster and run smoother. We have been running at 82% for awhile now and peak out at a critical 93% at times. If we run out of disc space the site would go down and we could lose information.
They have started the migration process and will start moving things to a new server. I am not sure when the final move will take place but the final move will be me changing the DNS addresses from the old server to the new server.
If I have a chance, I will try and let you all know when this will take place, however I may not know myself. There will be a little down time, and I'm not sure how long that will be. Hopefully only a few hours, I hope.
So if you can't log in or bring the site up don't be alarmed.
I promise we will be back as soon as I can get us back up.

Thank you for your patience while we do this.

Good stuff Sluff. I'm sure it will be fine.

Now if you can just upgrade my "server" I'll be ever so greatful. I think my KidneyOS is made by Microsoft and needs replacing...... :rofl; :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

I run a monthly defrag and do a malware scan 3 times a week (it usually takes quite a few hours to run!). I've been waiting on an upgrade, but every time I enquire they just say "Don't call us, we'll call you!" - and it's been four years. They keep promising a new version "real soon now" with all these fancy new features - like fast potassium ripping, boosted urine production functionality and the ability to stay up for a much longer period of time than before. Shiny!

ahh... sounds nice.  I've only recently gone wireless, though I still have to plug in to recharge.  Am having trouble with calcium/phosphorus optimization.  I've been troubleshooting that one for a while, but nothing seems to work.  Urine production functionality has gone down iover time, but it hasn't seemed to affect performance

UPDATE:

The migration portion of the upgrade is finished and now as soon as they show me how to log into the new server, I have to check everything over to make sure it all works properly. Once that is done then they make the final switch to the new server and then I will point the DNS to the new server asap. Still not sure when we will be done but we are a big step closer.

The amazing thing is that so far I haven't even noticed a bump or a flicker in service.  Well done!

Basically the upgrade is finished. We are still tweaking a few things but that seems like an endless job anyway.

I can't modify my profile.  I'll put the arrow on "Modify", and several options come up, but when I try to put the arrow on any of them, the whole option list disappears.  I've modified my profile several times in the past, and I've not had a problem until now.

I'm still trying to get email notification of PMs.

If anyone can sort this out, I'd be grateful.
