I had labs drawn Thursday because my hemoglobin was low on an earlier lab, and it still is low. Also my liver enzymes are elevated, my red blood cell count low, my albumin is low, and my white blood cell count is high. The nurse practitioner thought it could be sign of infection, for some reason she mentioned gallbladder infection? I've called to make an appointment with my doctor but that won't be until next week. I know I shouldn't jump to conclusions before knowing what is actually going on but I can't help myself from being deeply concerned either. Just needed to get that out.

How do you feel? You are doing the right thing by making an appointment with your doctor.

I thought I was fine but then they asked me if I felt more tired than usual, I said no but I kind of have been, I just thought it was because I haven't been sleeping well. Then I started re-evaluating myself and I have noticed that my stomach is more bloated than normal, but I thought it was because I missed treatment last Saturday due to infiltration, I had been collecting fluid in that area. I'm not in any pain though and no fevers.

Let us know when you have seen the doc, don't read to much into things before you find out. It could be some thing simple.

Yup, when the white blood cells go up, that's usually a sign of infection. I'll keep sending good thoughts your way for healthy healing. Keep us posted.

I saw my doctor's nurse practitioner today since he is away on holiday for the week, apparently my newest lab results show that my levels are getting better, all but my white blood cell count, it's still elevated and they're going to continue to monitor it. I also tested negative for hepatitus so now they're going to check for EBV and CMV. I had ultrasound done as well and should be getting results tomorrow.

Looks like I have a cyst on my liver, which could be causing inflammation, which would explain my bloated belly. I'm having an MRI tomorrow on top of more blood work, I see my doctor next Wednesday to go over it all, I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up wanting to do a biopsy.
