Lately I've been having a lot of gas. It's like there's a lot of air in my stomach. Usually I get bad gas on the machine but this is starting to be all the time. I don't have diereah, but my stools are softer then usual. Anyone know what might be going on? I feel fine otherwise and my labs for this month are fine. the only change that has happened recently is they give me iron every day now because last month my iron was low. They give me venaplar or something like that for iron.

If you have had any antibiotics given to you your stomach may need to have probiotics reintroduced. Since we cant do dairy it is possible to buy probiotics on line or at a health food store - this helped me when I had the same problem after my fistual clotted and got infected and they gave me a huge dose of antibiotics.

the dietitian told me that the gas (which I have too) is related to the binders. Also, the labels for two of my binders say that they can cause diarrhea and constipation. It's definitely changed how my stomach is processing things.

Iron may constipate you as well.

Same problem with me also.  I have been wondering why.  Doesnt seem to be a binder issue with me.
