I think I liked the fries and shakes best at in-and-out. The hamburgers are good too, and I liked the atmosphere where the kids working are all dressed in white with the hats. Since Washington State doesn't have In-and-out I'll have to say I eat at Zip's a lot. They have non-dairy milk shakes and ice cream and they will make me a small fry with no salt and the burgers are good. Plus at the grocery store on the back of every receipt is a coupon for Zip's. Oh, and they have napkins on every table which is rare anywhere else and cups for all the ketchup, tarter and fry sauce you want and hand sanitizer at the front counter.Next would be Arby's then Wendy's.
My best burger is the one I make at home...extra lean ground beef (grass fed and no antibiotics or growth hormones) fresh parsley, freshly ground black pepper, no salt, egg to bind the meat, usually no fillers but if I need to stretch the meat a bit I use multigrain cracker crumbs. Sliced vidalia onion, fresh sliced tomatoes, Bibb lettuce...all on a grilled-on-one-side multigrain bun. If people want cheese with that (although I see no need myself) it would be 5 year old aged cheddar hand sliced super thinly.Add a big big salad and there's dinner.
