Last year, I posted a topic about a floaty, tingly feeling I sometimes got in the evening. (http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=14370)

It went away before I bothered to ask about it, so I never figured out what it was. Recently, it's started again. The changes that I can think of that coincide with the floaty feeling are my blood pressure pills. For a long time, I stopped taking my Adalat because my blood pressure was low enough without it. When I got peritonitis and started holding onto more fluid again, I started taking it again, and the floatiness came back.

I'm not 100% sure it's caused by the Adalat and I haven't asked about it yet, but today I didn't take it in the morning and I'm not feeling floaty or tingly. To try to make up for it to keep my blood pressure down, I've been taking clonidine, but now I'm very tired and my heartrate is lower than I've seen it in a long time (60 BPM), and my blood pressure is still higher than normal. I'm going to try to take the Adalat before I go to bed, to try to keep my blood pressure down while avoiding the floaty period.

I'm going to ask my neph about it when I see him next week, and maybe call my PD nurse if I can't take it until then. Has anyone had similar side effects, or been on a combination of BP meds that did weird things?

I'm not sure about a floaty feeling but I can tell you that I have terrible side effects from my meds, I assume it is the bp meds anyway. I get this metal taste in my mouth and My face gets flush for about 15 seconds, actually my face gets warm and red along with my big Dumbo ears... :rofl; It goes away fairly soon but then I get nauseous for awhile until it subsides.

Lisinipril made me nervous and jittery.  Clonidine gave me a very dry mouth.  My blood pressure still isn't under control, and now they have sent me for a sleep apnea test.  I feel like I'm on an episode of House, where they never really figure out what's wrong with the person until the last 5 minutes!   :rofl;

Lets hope they never figure it out then. Hope you don't spend your last five minutes trying to fix it.     >:D
