I MAY be going down to 2x a week at dialysis! I am going to be taking a 24 hour urine collection/test next week, and if all goes well, and the volume and quality of my pee is good enough, I may be allowed to only do 2x a week! I am excited, but it's only a small chance it will happen but good thoughts are appreciated!

That would be fantastic!  Be sure to let us know the results of your collection test, OK!  That would be so wonderful.  But the important thing is to be healthy.

Thanks! Yes, the important thing is to be healthy, so if it's not going to be a good thing for me than that is okay, but I would love to only go 2x!

So, what exactly will tell them if 2x is OK?  What specifically will they be looking for?  I'm not on D yet, so forgive my ignorance.  Amount of urine, I guess...what else?

That would be great!!  Make sure they keep a close eye on your potassium and phos levels though and your clearance!!  We have always had our own chart that we write down all blood work results.  Karen you may pee a lot but sometimes it is just water and you are not getting rid of any toxins in the pee.  Hubby was like that when he was on PD.  Peed a lot but wasn't getting rid of any toxins.

   Hello Karen,
One thing you can try is one corn husk hair, make a tea add lemon peels and some real maple syrop, drink this very hot and this will help......
